Gua Sha

This ancient natural healing technique may offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain.  Gua sha involves stroking your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation.  It is very safe and gentle, frequently used in the treatment of children but also for adults, particularly to ease the symptoms of the common cold.

Gua sha breaks up stagnant energy, reducing inflammation, so it’s often used to treat ailments that cause chronic pain, such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, as well as those that trigger muscle and joint pain.

Similar to cupping, the treatment can leave some redness on the skin that disappears after a few days.

A gentle version of Gua sha can even be used on the face to improve the lustre of the skin.
